Description
I bought this truck in 2011 and have loved it ever since. I have a new Silverardo and can’t justify owning two pick-ups so sadly she must go.
She is a 1994 F-150 XLT. 5.0L V8, with a 5-speed manual transmission and 4-wheel drive. Transmission and 4 wheel drive system work perfectly.
This truck is rock solid and in great condition mechanically and physically. Truck was not driven a lot, and was a back-up vehicle. She runs strong on local roads as well as the highway. Although not driven a ton, oil was changed every 6-months (every few hundred miles), with Mobile1 Synthetic.
Has the rare factory quadra-shock front suspension (2 shocks for each front wheel). New shocks (front & back) were installed a couple years back.
The clutch was just fully rebuilt about 3-months ago (and only about 20 miles have been put on since).
Working power windows and working rear slider window. Truck has power door locks and mirrors, but the locks are sometime finicky.
New brakes, brake cylinders installed last year and less than 500 miles ago.
New ignition module & new starter
Rear axle was removed and re-sealed.
New pulley, tensioner belt for Power Steering system.
4 tie downs anchored to bed for cargo or motorcycle hauling
Hitch for tow receiver
Bed is a short-bed
Yokahama tires are all in great shape and have plenty of tread left.
Here is the bad / things that need work:
The dash and digital odometer sometimes blink out. Usually a tap on the dash brings them on.
The aftermarket Sony radio does not work. It is a CD player, but works sometimes. However, the radio function does not work,
The door sometimes lock and sometime do not. Windows go up and down fine, but door locking is hit & miss.
The body is showing obvious signs of some rust and minor damage. However, this is limited to mainly both the rear wheel wells. The rear wheel wells are rotted (see pictures). There is some minor rust along the lower body, but that is mostly it. The tail gate has a minor dent and a few scratches. The bed is in good shape (no rust), but has never had a bed-liner and is showing some wear. The blue paint is generally in good condition and shines when waxed.
Front doors are in great condition. There is some minor surface rust underneath the truck, but no rot. The rest of the truck is generally in solid shape.
