This 1976 Ford F-100 has a nice factory red-on-red look, plenty of V8 power, and a recently serviced A/C system. The result is a tidy, solid, and all-around attractive vintage pickup.
The factory-correct Candy Apple Red is a terrific color that we love on other Fords like the Mustang, and so it certainly is right on a truck made for driving. Plus, this vintage machine is done well with the Ranger-level trim that includes great brightwork like the stainless body line moldings, ornate tailgate, and the rocker moldings that wrap over the wheel opening moldings. It all looks particularly nice on this example because of the extra straight body panels. There's plenty more brightwork in the bumpers and grille. That's joined by upgrades like the bed rails and 15-inch slotted mags. It all makes for a clean and bright pickup that looks like you turned back the clock to the 1970s.
If you enjoyed the red of the exterior, then you'll love the interior even more. This is a correct red presentation, and the seat, dash pad, door panels, and other fundamentals all show well. It's quite a classic presentation, right down to the dual-spoke factory steering wheel. Even the upgrades are well-integrated. After all, the AM/FM digital tuner with cassette fits in nicely with the rest of the black elements of the dash. You have the sliding rear glass that combines with the side vent windows to let the breeze flow though the cab like only an old-school truck can. But any time that's not enough, the factory air condition was overhauled in 2019 to make sure you've got cold air when you want it.
The big 390 cubic-inch V8 is a great powerhouse for a truck like this. It has the right look of good maintenance, including newer items like the distributor, wires, lines, and belts. The V8 has some added performance with the Holley four-barrel carburetor and mild cam. This feeds a newer dual exhaust system. The stout C6 three-speed automatic transmission was given a comprehensive service in 2019. So you've got a total package that fires up readily, runs strong, and shifts smooth. If that sounds like a nice driving pickup, then you'll also appreciate features like power steering and power brakes with front discs.
Complete with build receipts, this is the sharp-looking and strong-running vintage F-Series. So if you're looking for one that's ready for all-day work or play, call today!
