It was a cover feature in Rod Action Magazine, in May of 1981.The frame and front radiator shell are original. The caris powered by a 327 Chevy SBC with aKenne-Bell 350 transmission. The rear endsuspended with triangulated four-bars witha57 Pontiachousingwith positraction and a 4:11 ratio. The body and front end were purchased from Pete and JakesfirstTemple City shop (no longer existing). Thebody is #16 fromWescott, one of the first to be sold in the LA area. P&J only got three on the first shipment and the two with trunks sold first. This body has the rumble seat lid and is fully finished inside.Ebberothbuilt the aluminum hood and trick locking mechanism. The brakes are mustang disks that are ground smooth and painted to match the car and frame. The steering and column is from a Mustang as well. The deep green paint is an 80’s Chrysler color. Believe it or not this paint is 40 years old!!! This has been well cared for over the past 41 years and it shows. There are only 22,975 miles on this car since it was built. Upholstery was done by LannyBoeltlin Whittier a rather famous name at the time. Current wheels are Eric Vaugh “Real Wheels”. These are aluminum cast in Halibrand’s original molds byVaugn. The car has been garaged through the last 3 owners. It was built to drive and she is dependable. This Ford just runs and drives great. It is taken out quite often.
