About this vehicleThis 1968 Ford GT500KR GT500 GT 500 KR Shelby Mustang is an original. The owner has had it for 4 years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives.Seller's NotesAll reasonable offers considered. The car is in storage locally for the summer but available for inspections. Documentation / photos of restoration (2018 completed) also available to interested parties. Also comes with original hub caps. I have well over $50,000 in restoration work, largely engine, transmission, suspension, breaks, fuel lines, chassis, etc.
This is the story of the car as I know it. I purchased this from a classic car seller in 2916 (Worldwide Vintage). The car was largely original, but had been used apparently for racing at some point in its life. The intake was replaced for a lighter, aluminum Edelbrock. The carb and heads were modified. The center console has been cut out of the interior to make room, and the shifter had been replaced with a Hurst T. All of this was corrected in my restore / rebuild in 2018, with exception of the correct c8of-9519-aa carb which was only recently found with the correct date (May 68; the fully restored carb will be on the engine before the sale).
All window panels appear original with Car Lite watermarks (photo of the fastback included)
ExteriorCar was originally Lime Gold (see Marti report). If someone wants to take this to the next level, restoring it to green is the way to go...I happen to like black!InteriorA+ interior. Original and clean throughout. Center console is a reproduction (it was removed at some point in the cars life), as is shifterEngineBlock cast: 8B27Intake cast: 8D30Heads cast: 8C6Carb cast: 854Deposits are nonrefundable.Created on the eBay Motors app
