1968 Ford Torino GT Convertible Pace Car Edition. 1 of 709 made for the 1968 Indianapolis 500 reportedly used as promotional vehicle for drivers the week of the race (no documentation, info from Hall of Fame Museum at IMS. This would make a great Father's Day gift.This car was purchased from a collection that was at a dealership in New York about ten years ago. Since that time, less than 500 miles have been put on the vehicle. It attends an occasional auto show and AutoRama and is stored indoors. Prior to its last AutoRama (2018), it had a new alternator, rack, wheel cylinders and gas tank installed. THE CAR IS NOT PERFECT AND IS PRICED ACCORDINGLY. Please e-mail me with questions. Here are its known flaws (please keep in mind, this car has been in storage and is not a daily or even a weekly driver): There appears to have been some previous paint and body work to the front edge of the hood. It appears to be isolated. There is a crack in the right rear tail lamp (a used one will be included but it was yellowed and not cleaned to install. There are tears in the convertible top at the seams and piping. There is typical interior wear for a 50 year old convertible.A Marti Report will come with the vehicle. As far as I know the car is all original. I have not done anything to it other than what I mentioned earlier.
