Car description |
---|
A friend of mine found this 57 sitting in a garage here in Oklahoma. The car had been sitting since 1988. The car is a rust free factory undercoated car. The top works great with a little assistance.
Brakes, hoses, wheel cylinders, and master cylinder are new and work good.Fuel tank is new.Fuel pump is new.White Wall Radial tires are new.Headlight switch is new.Fairlane 500 Emblems are new.Water pump is new.Points, plugs, wires, and cap are new.Oil and filter has been changed.
Everything works except the radio, tag light, and speedometer.Spot light works!I pulled the original carpet and pad out of the car. All original paint and coating is still in place. The car has had a small amount of body work on the right lower quarter in front of the wheel well. There are paint bubbles there but it doesn't appear to be rust. It looks like it had paint issues.
The motor is fairly clean and looks like it has been rebuilt in the past. You can see the new freeze plugs. It starts before you can get your hand off the key and sounds great. It still has single exhaust and will need to be replaced. Transmission shifts good, the rear end is quiet, and the brakes work good. The car has power steering and it also works good.
If you want a running driving, rust free retractable, this is it! The VIN tag on the inner door jam is long gone but I have safety inspections dating back to 1972 on the car with the VIN number on them and also a clean Oklahoma title. If this is a problem for you don't bid.
The car is sold as is, where is. If you have any questions contact me at Nine-One-Eight-500-Six-Four-Seven-Eight. Thanks, DavidOn Jun-21-20 at 10:26:12 PDT, seller added the following information:

I have added a couple more photos of the trunk area. The top works from the seat with the assistance of a person to help it a little on start up. My daughter assisted me for the pictures.
