This is a very nice. and fun to drive. Speedster. Our father purchased this Speedster from California about 15 yrs ago. Shortly after purchasing it. Dad became quite ill and really never had a chance to enjoy driving it. It was stored in a new addition to his garage. that he built specifically for storing his two Model T's. The Speedster is titled as a 1914. but as folks more knowledgeable than ourselves on Model T's have told us. it is assembled from a variety of components from different years of Model T's. It does operate on a 12 volt system. As you can see in the photos. it is fitted with a "modern" distributor. The brand new battery is stored in a small steel box on the driver's side running board. The engine always starts and runs very well. We have enjoyed taking her for the rides around the neighborhood. The longest drive was about 20 miles and the Speedster ran very well. It is great fun to drive! The fenders and running boards are in excellent condition. The wood chassis and seat structure is also in excellent condition. There is a small section of "cracked" paint behind the driver's seat as can be seen in the photos. There is also a small dent in the top lid of the storage box. Wheels and tires are all in very good condition. All of the brass trim and radiator shell appear to be in very good condition. The hand operated horn bellows does have a crack in the rubber so I suspect that it is not as loud as it can be! The previous owner installed an electric horn under the floor board. which is operated by a pressing a small steel button with your foot. Seats are also in very good condition. and are fitted with a set of seat belts. The wood steering wheel rim is in beautiful condition. We've truly enjoyed this Speedster both for the driving experience and the memories its provided for us of our father. Dad was a true "car guy" who took great pride in taking excellent care of his vehicles. and it shows in the Speedster. However. we simply do not have the storage space and time to drive it as it should be enjoyed. So it is time to find a new caretaker for this great 101 yr old automobile. The Speedster is currently in Brooklyn. Michigan. 49230. Potential buyers are welcome to arrange to see her or have her inspected.
