No Reserve. will sell to highest bidder Beautiful classic 1973 Ford pickup in pristine condition. It spent most of it's life in Arizona. and never had any rust. It has had one repaint in it's original colors-sequioa brown and wimbleton white. This was done back in 2004. and was a professional body shop paint job. This truck spent most of it's life in Arizona. so there was no rust repair needed and there is no bondo. The paint that was used was a single stage enamel which is what would have originally come on the truck when it was new. The truck has always been garage kept since being repainted. and the body/paint is about as close to perfect as you'll likely ever find. There are no dents. dings. scratches. chips. etc. and it has always been kept immaculately clean and detailed. All of original chrome trim is in excellent condition. The bumpers are excellent(front chrome. rear painted step bumper). The grille is in very good shape. but the metal part of the grille does have a few minor scratches. The bed floor is perfect. and nothing has ever been hauled in it since the repaint. The interior is in very good original condition. The carpet was replaced when the truck was repainted. The dashboard is in excellent shape. and there are no cracks in the dash pad. It does have an aftermarket radio (AM/FM cassette with mp3 plug-in). but it's a knob-style radio so the dash hasn't been all hacked up. The steering wheel is nice with no cracks. The door panels are in very good shape with no cracks. The seat is nice. but there are a couple of small cigarette burns(previous owner was a smoker). The truck has not been smoked in in the 11+ years that I've owned it. and there are no lingering cigarette odors in the cab. The truck is in excellent mechanical condition and has always been well maintained. The previous owner had the engine and trans rebuilt(have receipts). Everything is stock/original. It runs and drives beautifully. and I've never had any major problems with it in the 11 years that I've owned it. It had 99. 00 miles when I bought it in 2004. and has around 103. 00 now; so it has been driven very sparingly. It has recent tires with only a couple thousand miles on them. It also had a new exhaust system installed a couple of years ago. Since I've had it. I've replaced the battery. starter. alternator. power steering pump. power steering lines. and all of the belts and hoses under the hood. It has a dealer add-on AC system that does work. but it needs to be recharged because the air doesn't blow cold. It still has the old r12 refrigerant. so if you desire to have the ac recharged you would have to find someone who still has r12. or have it changed over to the newer 134a. The front gas tank is currently not working. the previous owner told me that he never used it so I've never used it either. The rear tank works fine. has a new sending unit. and all of the rubber fuel lines have been replaced. The engine compartment is clean. and the engine has been painted and detailed and is ready for car shows. The undercarriage is clean also. The previous owner had zeibart undercoating done on the undercarriage. and I've gone over that with por 15 rust resistant black paint. The inner fenderwells are clean and detailed. Overall. this is probably one of the nicest 73 Ford pickups that you could ever find. There aren't many left in this kind of condition. This truck has been very well kept and taken care of. It is always garaged. and kept spotlessly clean. It has only been driven on sunny summer days in the 11 years that I've owned it. I only put a couple of hundred miles a year on it. It mainly gets used for an occasional Sunday drive or car show. It always gets compliments wherever I take it. The only bad thing is the gas mileage. the 390 V8 only gets about 7 miles per gallon. Because of the poor gas mileage and the fact that it is a 42 year old vehicle that has been driven very sparingly I'd recommend that the buyer have it shipped. but it has always been very reliable for me and I wouldn't be afraid to drive it any distance. Not interested in any trades. I do not drive the truck at all during the winter months because of the road salt. I do go out in the garage and start it a couple of times a month. and it always starts right up no matter how cold it is outside. A couple pumps on the gas pedal. turn the key. and it fires right up. The truck does have manual brakes(front disc. rear drum). and they work fine. The transmission is a c6 automatic. and it shifts fine. The truck is always garaged. and it gets polished and waxed several times a year. Although the paint job was done 11 years ago. it still has a beautiful shine and looks perfect. If you are looking for a truck like this to use for classic car shows and cruise nights. it would be hard to find a finer example. Or if you. or maybe your father or grandfather had a truck like this back in the 70s when they were new. this would be a great one to relive the good old days. Also. there is a small box of assorted spare parts(mainly chrome trim pieces and small interior parts) that will come with the truck. On Mar-15-15 at 07:56:17 PDT. seller added the following information: If there is anything on the truck that you would like to see in more detail that isn't shown in the photos. let me know and I can add more photos. This truck is truly a beautiful classic vehicle that is in "like new" condition. It runs and drives excellent. and everything is stock/original. It's almost like going back in time to the 70s and finding a new one.
