I am selling my 1976 Ford F 250 Highboy. I've owned this truck for over 20 years and don't drive it anymore. Engine: 460 with Ford factory EFI. I retrofitted this engine into the truck in 1998. It came out of a wrecked 1990 F 250 with about 50k on it It was installed per California Air Resources Board rules. All California emissions equipment was installed and is functional. It was approved by a smog referee. It has passed smog every two years since. The engine now has somewhere around 80k on it. Transmission: E4OD electronic overdrive that has been rebuilt with all updates that were available in 2000 including a billet torque converter. A shift kit was also installed at that time. There are about 20k on the trans. Interior: The interior is basically stock with a recently upholstered seat. The carpet and door panels are in good shape. Drivers side window regulator was replaced a couple of years ago. Exterior: The body and paint are in rough but useable condition. Some people call it patina. No major accidents but it does have some small dents and scratches. There is NO RUST. Suspension: Stock Ford suspension with recently installed shocks. The rear shock are coil over helper shocks as I used to have a camper on the truck. It also has air bags in the rear with a pump and gauge . The leaf springs are a little stiff as the truck has been sitting with limited use for a while. They loosen up as the truck is driven. Differentials: 4. 11 gears in the front and rear. The rear has a factory posi that is loose but working. The front is open. Other: I just put a new fuel pump and filter in two weeks ago. Also flushed the stale gas out. This truck needs a fuel gauge sending unit and a spare tire and can then be driven anywhere. I drove this truck with this engine package for many years. It was mainly used for long road trips. It was and still is very reliable. It gets about 11 MPG without a camper on it. I probably left some things out so please ask questions.
