1st. This is an auction for charity. Also the charity banner is wrong. its not 10% its 100%. I dont know how to edit this.
The ASKING price is 6999.00 OR BEST OFFER! Please no screaming about values. If you dont want to use the buy it now simply send your best offer. That said,
RARE Generation 1 prototype year Ford Taurus SHO Super high output. 3.0 6 cyl with 5 speed manual transmission.
89K original miles. The owner donated it to my charity. The Alternator was bad on it and he never got around to fixing it. He gave it to us and I installed a new one.
The car fires right up and has full power. Shifts and drives perfectly. Incredible power.
Looks to be very loaded as far as options go. Sunroof electric everything. Deluxe JPL Stereo with Alpine cd player on and on.
Some areas need some work for sure. Interior is ok. Dash pad is beat with a cover on it. All guages etc are in very good shape. Seat covers not bad for their age but have their share of marks and stuff as would be expected for a 31 year old car. Carpets are surprisingly good and could get away with a simple cleaning. Steering wheel was replaced for reasons unknown. Not the best job. It works perfectly but does not look that good. Electric windows all work except for the drivers window (of course right!) BUT Im told it simply needs to be cleaned and re-greased.
The body:
Lots of pros and some cons. Until a big 4x4 backed into it when it was parked it was perfectly straight. The 4x4 basically ruined the hood and put a thumb sized dent in the fender. Hood needs to be replaced. Also windshield is cracked all the way across. The car has an older repaint on it that has peeled on the roof and trunklid. The rest is actually ok. Maybe it can be color matched on the rough areas? You decide.
The rest of the car is remarkably straight and rust free. When the 4x4 backed into it, the drivers headlight screw boss broke so that will need a minor lamination repair. The headlight holds fine but the boss can be seen as damaged when the hood is open. See images.
The deluxe chrome ralleye wheels are actually amazing. I cleaned one of them up and it still is like new. Chrome still near perfect. The deluxe stereo system is all there but will need to be gone through. The high heat hear fried the speaker covers on the back window package tray so it will need some TLC but the components are amazing. It has a massive factory intsalled AMP in the trunk. Never seen one like it. I specialize in other cars and know little about Ford products.
Mechanically over all the car is great. Turn key driver clean shifter. Much of the suspension has been gone through and other things as It came with a box of parts that were the replaced used parts like struts springs and other relays etc. Someone spent time maintaining it. As a life long Cal car it has no rust except tiny surface rust where the 4x4 scraped the paint. No cancer i can find anywhere.
A couple things on it however. There is a relay from the A/C evap sensor that is disconnected. i dont know why or where it reconnects. Also one of the power steering hoses by the firewall has a loose clamp. I am disabled and cant get it but it does leak some and should be handled before it becomes a bigger problem. If you hands are good should be pretty easy. I just cant reach like that anymore.
New Alternator new Starter solinoid and just tons of other newer underhood parts Im not familiar with as again Im just not a Ford know it all.
Ok so once again all the money for this car goes to feed the poor as it was donated to my charity for that purpose. And please no carping about the asking price. if you dont want to pay it, send your best real offer. i have folks to feed as my higher priority.
PEACE!
Paypal preferred as a faster transaction or if by check or dir deposit funds must clear 100% before shipping. Cash accepted on local pickup. YOUR responsible for all shiping and costs but i can help if needed finding a company. its not hard.
