For sale is our 1979 Ford Bronco Custom 4 Speed. It is finished in Candyapple Red and is all original paint! The Bronco was delivered new to Arlington Ford in Arlington Washington. And lived all of its life out west until recently. The Bronco was special ordered by the original owner with a number of options, 4.11 gear ratio, limited slip, quad shocks, tow hooks, skid plate and much more. This truck was setup very well for off roading straight from the factory. It is certainly a uniquely ordered Bronco!
The attached Marti report details all the options.
The heart of this truck is a 351 cubic inch V8 backed by the desirable 4 speed manual transmission. The engine is fitted with an Edelbrock intake and 4 barrel Holley 650 CFM carb, but other than that is a good example of original. The Bronco is still fitted with the factory 4.11 gear ratio and limited slip rear end. Truck runs and drives good.
The suspension has been updated by a previous owner with a 4 inch lift kit to enhance the Bronco’s off-road ability. It wears a set of 15 inch aluminum wheels in great shape with new 33x12.5R15 Mastercraft M/T tires. The spare wheel does not match in design but does also have a brand matching spare tire.
The exterior of the Bronco is solid over all. The bronco does have some minor rust an da dent on the bottom of the passenger door. The paint is all original, has patina and does have chips (especially on the front of the hood), scratches, dents and minor issues as expected and visible in the photos. But certainly has a gorgeous look to it, especially for 41 years old! The cab mounts, floors, drip rails and all other common ford truck rust spots are in great shape on this truck. The frame and underside is all original, clean and solid. The fiberglass top is all original and in excellent condition. It’s one of the nicest tops I’ve seen. The exterior tire carrier works as it should.
The original front bench seat is still present, and in good shape except for the visible tear on the drivers side, seat had a cover on it but I removed it to show it’s real condition. The rear seat is in great shape. Since the Bronco was ordered with the insulation package it has rear interior trim panels and arm rests. The floor mat is original and has a few tears but is more than serviceable. The rear windowstill works as it should. The factory heater still works great. A modern JVC radio is fitted and works well.
This is a great survivor Bronco, the patina on it looks amazing and it’s a lot of fun to drive! More photos available upon request.
