Car description |
---|
1966 Ford Fairlane, was originally a 289, Cruise-a-matic, with an 8" ford rearend. The previous owner replaced the 289 with a 351 windsor, aluminum intake, Holley carb, a new set of headers, with aluminum exhaust and flowmasters. He purchased the car from the original owner. The interior and exterior colors on the car are the original colors.
Everything works except the radio, the motor sounds great, transmission shifts good, and the brakes are good. Sometime in the cars life it has had a cheap paint job done. The car is straight down the sides with the exception of a place right behind the passenger door which I have shown in the picture. The driver's door needs door hinge bushings and the rear bumper has a bent spot in the middle. The car has new tires and the original dog dish hub caps. This is a rust free car other than the surface rust shown under the original trunk mat. The car retains the original jack and a spare tire is in place. Runs and drives good! This car would make a perfect 427 Clone!
The interior is all original. It has a hole in the headliner above the driver's head, and couple of spots on the front seat, and will need a dash pad. The carpet is original. Under the dash is very nice and has not been messed with!
Not many rust free survivors left out there! I also have the original 289 that came out of the car. The car is sold as is where is. Buyer is responsible for shipping. I will assist with loading. Call me if you have any questions! Nine One Eight - 500 - Six Four Seven Eight. Thanks David
