This 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429 Fastback is one of just 499 originally built by Kar Kraft, and one of a handful finished in Calypso Coral. Only a few years off of its detailed, no expense spared, rotisserie restoration that went to great lengths to ensure the authenticity of the car. Its numbers matching 820 T-code 429 was bored out .030 over, the internals balanced and NASCAR rods employed, the work performed by Thunder Valley Motorsports in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was then placed on a dynamometer and broken in at J&J Engines, also of Minneapolis. The Magnum 500 wheels along with many other chrome pieces were stripped and treated to triple plating for a superb finish. Four other types of plating were required to accurately refinish other plated components, which were treated by a California company with the required capability. The car’s wiring was also restored by a Ford worker in Texas, who completed the job with the correct weaving and tags. NOS glass was installed and the car expertly repainted in correct Calypso Coral. The result is a thoroughbred machine that is once again in as-new condition and will be an excellent addition to any collection. Included with this Boss 429 is a binder full of receipts, photos of the restoration process and original window sticker. Please contact us for questions, more information, or a shipping quote.
