Selling my 1965 Mustang as shown. **PARTS ONLY** This car has been in my family since the 1970's. The state of Washington has held the title for 39 years and I am done fighting with them. So I am selling this PARTS ONLY NOT COMPLETE VEHICLE also NOT ELIGIBLE FOR EBAY PROTECTION
Theres minor surface rust but overall the rust is minimal because this car was stored for over 20 years in a climate controlled garage in the High Desert of Oregon. The headliner has been re-done, the tires are new. The gas tank is new. The power steering pump and 90% of the brakes are all new. I had it converted from plugs and points to High Energy Ignition / HEI. It started on the first turn of the key after sitting all winter in Missouri. I will post a video tomorrow of the car starting, running and driving.
It is a survivor car and mostly original. The carpet is fqaded, there are sizable spots of body damage in the front left fender, hood and roof from a branch falling on it. The windshield has a small fixable chip. The choke is a little touchy and the horn doesnt work. It accelerates great, stops ok and rides well.
Call me and discuss options prior to bidding. I will not go off ebay but would love to talk to prospective buyer prior to bid/purchase 314 623-7539 Joe.
As a parts car: Good running engine and tranny I figure at $1250, Complete glass and chrome trim $750, Dash with guages, mirrors, seats, console, glove box and steering wheel / stereo $1200, Headliner cost 6 call it $400, Wheels 4 hubcaps, new tires, axles $500, Radiator, fan, Power steering box, brake master cylinder, wiper motor and assembly $400, New gas tank $200, Frame and body $900
$5600 parts value + a lot more as I have brand new chrome Front bumper, some internal moldings and I think the front valance.
Come see and drive this car and lets make a deal. I have the history report in the pictures. It shows no lien, never a salvage, flood, hail or other title issue.
The title to this car has a $300 lien from 1982 with a company that has been out of business for 37 years. The last people who were part of this company died over 10 years ago. Even though the lien was never perfected and is not legal, Washington State wants to play games. I have had TWO lawyers try to get this sorted out and both said there was no reason for them to hold this title. The company is a Missouri company, and the car is still licensed and registered in Washington. IT WILL NOT BE SOLD AS A COMPLETE CAR. I plan on taking a stereo knob off at the time of sale so the car will not be complete. Mechanics lien may work, and I have one last ditch effort to get title that will pass or fail on Wednesday. If title coming in, I will likely relist. I will sign paperwork indicating that this vehicle was sold as parts and has no applicable claim for ownership other than the purchaser here, on ebay.
