1955 T-BIRD

1955 T-BIRD. This vehicle is a daily driver and has been modified. It has a 289 ci Ford Mustang V-8 with a four-speed manual transmission. Good gas mileage and great at highway speeds. The engine has been professionally rebuilt and has about 5. 00 on it. The drive train is in very good running condition and the T-Bird can travel the California freeways at 65 to 80 mph and more. (really fun to drive !). The white removable top is in very good condition inside and outside. The porthole glass fine. The 1955 T-Bird did not come with porthole tops. so this is a 1956 top. Removable tops were interchangeable from 1955 to 1957. DISCLOURSERS: Paint has chips on headlight rims. speedometer and tachometer do not work. Right door needs adjusting; closes but has quarter inch gap at bottom. Right door has golfball size dimple. The car has not been involved in a collision as far as I know. Tires are in very good condition but not new. Dual exhaust has a healthy. throaty sound. but is NOT loud. Power seat swich on door may need to be replaced. I have no way of knowing total milage on the car itself but the engine was professionally rebuilt about 5000 miles ago. The car has power steering and works well. no leaks. I have owned the car for about twenty years at at 72 I'm selling the car I love to drive. If you are looking for a daily driver this might be the T-Bird for you.
