Car description

1928 Model A Ford Tudor. This started with a 44,000 mile car that had never been taken apart or restored. It has been stored inside its entire life. When I bought this car it was in the mans den on four scissor jacks. Have all documentation and pictures from new along with pictures of the couple who bought it new.

It was built in the Denver Ford plant. My first car in 1958 when I was 13 was a 1928 Model A Coupe and I wanted to build a no frills tribute to that car and this is it.

I wanted a modern four cylinder motor and manual transmission. No polished aluminum, no glitzy looking stuff. No fuel injection, no power brakes, no power steering, no big GM alternator, no digital gauges, no radio, stereo, cd player, no AC but, it does have a heater. It also has turn signals, high and low beam head lights and a horn. No power windows, no tilt steering column, no wide wheels with fat tires, no wall to wall carpet. It does have nice Henry Ford hardwood floors painted black as Henry would want it. Have all receipts.

THE CAR AS IT IS NOW:

Fresh built GM Quad 4 HO engine.

Factory GM tube header.

Xdi ELECTROMOTIVE engine timing control system.

Fresh rebuilt Weber carbs with sequential serial numbers.

Fresh Chevy S10 T5 five speed transmission with RAM hydraulic clutch.

Fresh 8 inch Ford rear end.

Possie Super Slide springs.

New Wheel Smith spoke wheels. 5 inch front, 6 inch rear.

New So Cal dropped axle with disc brakes.

New interior, original headliner and pull down rear shade.

Lime Works steering column and wheel.

Scorpion Hot Rod Parts wiring kit.

All new green tint glass and fuzzes.

In 1958 the owners had the green part of the body repainted and a new rubber roof.

This is just a fun car to go out to your favorite cruise nights in. Never worry about overheating with the stock Model A non pressurized radiator. Even on 100 degree days you have to drive quite awhile to get the electric fans to come on at 170 degrees and then the temp just stays there. Very cool. The engine has a dummy distributor on the front of the right cam just for fun and to fool and confuse folks.

Its fun to just sit back away from the car and watch two or three guys looking and trying to figure out what kind of engine it is. Why am I selling it: I'm 76 years old and I have to many vehicles and it's time to thin down the fleet.

Feel free to call and ask questions or for more pictures. Kenny @ 505-620-5369
