Car description |
---|
Fast cop car. This 67 Ford Galaxie started out as a King County sheriff car in King County WA. My uncle bought it and then gave it to me. It was my first car. It went from WA to CO and has been in Colorado for many years without much use. The odometer reads 50,765 miles but it is probably 150,765. There is no salt damage. There is sun and moisture damage to the interior from the sun and the Colorado sun is hard on paint as you can see but the body and engine are in good shape. It has the original engine. Bumpers have some surface rust and need to be re-chrome plated. There is no deep salt rust on this vehicle. We added some pictures of extra parts that come with this.
This is for the person who wants to restore a cool cop car or for the survivalist who wants a working vehicle after an EMP because there is no computer. When all the computer controlled cars shut down this will be one of the only vehicles on the road so you will have plenty of gasoline. This vehicle does not depend on any parts with transistors, ICs, computers and other junk that makes cars difficult to repair. We have a lot of newer vehicles that don't run because they have a lot of computerized junk that is too hard to repair if you could even get the parts. This vehicle also gets surprisingly good gas mileage for a big engine. The gas in the tank is really old and needs to be replaced. However, the engine started in the first second of cranking when I put fresh gas in the carb. This old 390 is still in good condition with no smoke.
