Car description |
---|
1993 Ford Bronco Custom trim with 5.0 engine. I've had it as a hobby truck. 150-151k miles. E4OD transmission, manual shifted 4WD on floor with automatic locking hubs
Front to back in the last 10,000 miles;
Projector headlamps
New fan clutch
New water pump
New alternator
New A/C Clutch
New radiator hoses & belt-line components
New battery
New starter solenoid
New starter
New plugs, cap, wires
Electrical headlamp bypass mod - headlamps retrieve most power directly from battery rather than routed through the headlamp switch and bursting into flames as they like to do
Explorer heater core bypass mod (vacuum actuated bypass for heater hoses that Ford installed in Explorers of the era. When A/C is set to Max, hot coolant is no longer shot into the cabin so the A/C works better as it's not fighting itself)
New vacuum lines all around, replaced with silicone
New IAC and associated gaskets
New brake system from the ABS modulator on down. New hard lines, new flexible hoses, new calipers in front, new drums and shoes in rear. Front hoses are currently zip-tied to frame as I was contemplating a lift, haven't done anything with that.
New fuel pump assembly (access hatch cut in bed)
New exhaust system from the headers back with new O2 sensor. "Upgraded stock", replaced the old two-system catalytic converter with a 3-phase single modern unit that simplifies the system, keeps it legal, and lets the truck breathe better
Interior: Sound deadened so it's not so "tin can". This was the last year you could get it in 'Custom Trim' which as you can see means literally nothing that wasn't legally required inside. If you like minimalist and manual everything then you've come to the right place
New ignition tumbler
New headlamp switch
New windshield
Wire gauge upgrade to the back window (all safeties bypassed, dash switch works at all times when the vehicle is on)
What are its issues?
- It seeps oil. Doesn't leave puddles, but the oil pan will be moist by the time an oil change interval has run its course.
- It seeps anti-freeze, most likely out of the radiator
-The steel-cable mechanism for the HVAC temperature controller snapped. This is what moves the lever behind the glovebox from hot to cold. I just do it once or twice a year by hand by reaching back there and leave it full hot or full cold
-The rear window defroster does not work. One of the tabs needs to be resoldered
- Rear tailgate handle does not work. You can still open it by directly pushing on the actuator rods
-Steering still needs to be redone, it is typical Ford Loose. If you've ever driven an F150 of this vintage you know what that means
-It's rusty. All the floor pans are intact and there are no "punch-throughs" in the interior.
-4WABS does not work most of the time. It's an electrical issue with the Modulator. Mechanical brakes work just fine.
As always, all sales are final and no warranties are expressed or implied on the condition of the vehicle in whole or any individual part. If you have questions or need to know something then message me and I will answer them to the best of my ability. On Feb-14-20 at 19:05:36 PST, seller added the following information:

Added more photos of underside and engine pay. Title is clean, seats come with it.
Forgot to mention the driver side light pressure light switch is disconnected. When you open the door the dome light doesn't automatically come on. It does come on when the passenger opens their door. I have never reconnected it as I actually prefer it that way.
