Car description |

1963 1/2 Ford Falcon Futura 2 door coupe, same body as the Sprint model only available the last part of the 1963 model year. This Falcon was a pride of ownership project by a machine shop owner and fabricator who fully restored the car from 1999-2008 at the cost of over $40,000. Lots of custom work and finishes were done as you can see. Really cool hot rod custom touches everywhere on this one of a kind Falcon.
Very nice 302 V8 engine from a later mustang (1986?) was fully rebuilt with Holly carburetor around 10 years ago and rarely driven except to car shows. Runs excellent with nice power. Has a new looking duel exhaust system installed that sounds great. Automatic transmission with 1966 mustang floor shifter. The underside of the car is like a new car, see pictures. Everything looks to be rust free and solid.Disc brakes are installed up front and drums in the rear. Manual steering work fine but the car will need an alignment. Would be a good candidate to convert to power steering.
The previous owner removed the door handles and trunk lock and put in remote door locks. The side trim was replaced by a chrome metal sword detail. The door can open from a remote control (2 provided) or from pressing the round end button on the sword on the drivers side. The trunk has a pull release on the floor next to the drivers side seat which works great. The paint work is excellent and holding up well for 12 year old paint. Very few scratches or flaws in the paint to be found. It looks to be a metallic copper / bronze color and will appear different in the sun and shade. I tried to take a variety of pictures showing the different lighting. The body is very straight, the only flaw we found was 2 slight indentations in the drivers door that did not harm the paint (please see in photos) Possibly removed from a paintless dent removal company. All the chrome trim and brightwork is in beautiful condition and has a great shine.
The interior was fully updated and modified. The dashboard gauges and glovebox are all 1966 Mustang as is the steering wheel. All the gauges work except for the speedometer which is not working although the odometer is still working. The front seats appear to be from a 1986 Mustang fox body and the rear is stock except everything was reupholstered to match. There are new Falcon floor mats in front and back. The door panels are in excellent shape. The carpet is newer and in good shape but looks like it should be refitted around where the floor shifter is located for a better fit. Excellent headliner but missing the plastic dome on the ceiling light. Nosun visors.
A modern classic stereo is installed with Kenwood speakers in the rear. An ipod/ /iphone connector is located in the glovebox which will play music through the stereo. All lights, turn signal and wipers are working. Horn is disconnected under the steering wheel horn button.Tires look very good on the upgraded wheels. The license plate on the car is my personal plate and will not go with the car.Clean title in hand.I can assist with your shipper if you are an out of state buyer.
No reserve auction.
Overall its a beautiful car that needs some going through and basic TLC.Here is a list of what it could need:Front end alignment and/or power steering conversion.Speedometer fixed.Minor dent removal on drivers door.
