Car description |

The cool two-tone of this 1955 Ford Customline kicks off a highly original-style presentation that continues all the way down to the V8 power. So dig into the details on a car where they made the right investments but it never loses that vintage feeling.
The factory-correct Mountain Green and Snowshoe White two-tone has a great 1950s look. That's especially true, because all the colors are separated by plenty of bright trim. Of course, the piece we like the most is the full-sweeping side piece that was a hallmark of Fords. This one really does have a terrific sense of vintage style, including the intricate grille, Ford family crest badging, and Thunderbird-inspired taillights. Even the upgraded smoothie wheels with newer whitewalls provide added distinction while still looking period-correct.
Inside is more of that classic pastel look with a full green interior. The setup received some nice attention later in life, and so you get comfy tweed-like cloth inserts in the seats. The dual-spoke steering wheel gives you a clear view to the plexiglass speedometer, which was a true style marvel of its time. In fact, the whole dash has a well-done stock look, right down to the AM radio that's still on display. But because this is a classic made for driving you have some essential upgrades cleanly mounted under the dash, like a water temp gauge and an AM/FM/CD stereo w/USB input to plug in your phone.
Under the hood is Ford's 272 cubic-inch V8 motor. This is believed to be the original engine to the car, and it has been given the right investments for a great stock-style presentation. It includes the tall oil bath air cleaner, bold red block, and Ford script on the valve covers. And once again, you'll see the right driver-oriented upgrades, like the aluminum radiator. The three-speed manual transmission gives you full control over the V8 with that classic column-shifted feeling, and the glasspack dual exhaust adds a nice tone to the motor's soundtrack.
This is the vintage ride that's meant to drive. So if you love true classic motoring, call today!
