Car description

Get ready for spring with this beautiful Yellow Mustang convertible powered by a 289 V8. We could stop right here, because with all that going for it, what more do you really need to know? Come on down! We can sign you up and you can drive it home right now. (Or, if you want a few more details, read on.)

So, the color of the car is actually the factory correct, code 8, Springtime Yellow. It looks like summertime fun and it makes people smile as you drive by in it. The light catches on the crisp, clean body lines along the top of the fenders and reflects off the long hood and down the sides. The iconic galloping Mustang leads the way in the center of the grill of horizontal bars and is underlined by a sharp looking, pencil thin chrome bumper. A 289 badge along with another galloping Mustang over red, white and blue stripes appears on the front fenders and the rocker panel is dressed out in protective chrome trim too. The triple element taillights have a Mustang gas cap between them and another nice chrome bumper below them with GT exhaust tips peeking out through the lower valence. The Black convertible top is power operated, looks great when it's up, and of course, looks fantastic when it's down.

Open the door and you will find a nicely reconditioned Black interior. The black door panel has a slash of chrome cutting a curve around it that echoes the accent line on the side of the car. A wooden steering wheel mounted on a three-spoke polished hub with a Mustang horn button really stands out against the black and chrome dash. That dash is super clean with chrome bezels brightly outlining the speedometer in the center and the engine gauges to each side of it. Control knobs run along below them and there is a Mustang head unit that is FM and iPod compatible with aftermarket speakers in the kick panels for your listening pleasure. Below the stereo is the factory air conditioning that has been reconditioned and updated to R134 to keep you nice and cool. The bucket seats have textured seating surfaces and smooth side bolsters with the shifter for the manual transmission rising up from the floor while Mustang floor mats protect the carpets.

Pop the hood open and you will find one of those very desirable 289 V8 motors nestled down in a neat and clean engine bay. This car was delivered new with a 289 and this motor was just completely reconditioned in 2017. A couple nice additions to it are a chrome air cleaner that sits on top of a Holley 4-barrel carburetor and an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold. Finned aluminum valve covers are embossed with 289 Ford and all the engine iron is painted the correct Ford blue. The exhaust is all new leading back to those GT chrome tips and the power flows back through a 3-speed manual trans to the rear wheels mounted on multi-leaf springs. Steering and suspension components received their share of love with new bushings everywhere and fresh shocks keeping things nicely under control. The rubber meets the road through 195/75R14 white wall tires mounted on magnum wheels with Mustang center caps.

It doesn't get any better than this gorgeous yellow Mustang for summertime cruising. Come on down, check it out, and drive it on home.
