Car description

I haveenjoyed owning this car and I think you will too!
I bought the car from an individual in South Carolina a couple of years ago. It's a Turbo Coupe body with a small block V8 and all of the creature comforts. Yes, they work. I have wrapped it into a Bill Elliott Tribute. The car is so much fun to drive!
In 1985, NASCAR introduced the first million dollar bonus. The driver who won three of the four high speed races would go home with an extra one million dollar check. There is a fantastic account of the Talladega race by Brandon Reed here:http://georgiaracinghistory.com/2010/04/23/elliott-was-awesome-at-talladega-in-1985/
In the article, you will learn why it may actually be the best race of Bill Elliott's career and among the most memorable in the history of NASCAR.
The previous owner had pulled the 4cyl turbo and replaced it with a very balanced 351 Windsor. The build receipts are in a folder approximately 3" thick and come with the car. In them, you will see details of the build and better understand why this motor runs and sounds so good. The car does have a small oil leak. The five speed tranny is a great fit. I can't imagine it being as much fun to drive without it. The pulley system of the car was upgraded with a serpentine belt. It has an electric cooling fan behind the radiator. The car has a "line lock" for street drag racing and the gas tank capacity has been limited. The wheels are D-Slots and are staggered. So the front are more narrow in tread width than the rear. These were purchased for the NASCAR tribute look, but they don't balance out as well as I'd like for them to at high speeds. The leather interior is fantastic. There are no rips or tears in the seats. Note that these are the recaro style seats used in the Mustang SVO and other Ford's of that year. Very nice!
I have included photos before and during the professional wrap so that you can see the paint job underneath. The wrap was done by Tennessee Tint in Bartlett, TN. The wrap forms the basic background colors of Red, White, and Gold. But the real detail is in the individual decals. A great deal of effort was done in making each decal look as close as possible to the original race car in 1985. They did an excellent job!
I left the car at a friends car lot in West TN last year. It was dicovered by the fine folks at FoxCast Media. Please take a few moments to ride along with them as they review this car on YouTube by cutting/pasting the following:https://youtu.be/yfweaBenW2E
I require a non-refundable payment of $500 via PayPal within the first 24 hours of close of auction. The remainder can be paid by Bank Wire within seven days. The car will be released after a paid in full confirmation is received by the bank.
Every effort to accuratley describe this car has been made. The car sells As-Is / Where Is. I will be glad to help coordinate with your transporter as needed.
Thank you for your bid!
