Car description

Up for sale is my 1958 Custom 300 project, affectionately named "Creepy".
First and foremost, this car is being sold with a Texas bonded title in my name (pictured). It transfers just like any other title and the car insures like any other car. Its not like a rebuilt or salvage title. Before I bought the car, it hadn't been registered or titled since 1976. I went through the bonded title process to obtain a title. The car's VIN is 100% clean, as verified by Texas DPS.
This car runs and drives. It has had a lot of recent work done to it.

The gentleman I purchased it from put all new brakes in it with new tires on 15" Ford wheels. The brakes have been upgraded to a dual master cylinder setup. The car stops well. He pulled out the engine and completely resealed it with new timing chain set installed. The car is currently setup with a Ford 3G alternator. All the original wiring is there if you would like to convert it back to a generator.

Since I've had it, I installed a new Edelbrock 4 barrel carb, new exhaust with vintage Smithy glass packs (sounds just like Christine, not too loud) and have replaced the ignition system. The distributor is from a 1967 Mustang 390 GT. I installed a Pertronix Ignitor in it with new coil, plugs and wires. The engine runs smooth with no knocks or ticks. It doesn't burn oil.

The transmission was originally a 2 speed Ford-o-matic, but it was upgraded to a 3 speed cruise-o-matic years ago. The car came from the factory with 4.11 gears and a 9" rear end. The engine was also a special order. The data plate decode list is pictured.
As for rust, the rockers and front floors need attention. The area above both headlights needs attention, and both rear quarters behind the tires need attention.
The car is far from a rust bucket, but it does need rust repaired in those areas if you're wanting to restore it. The roof/top, around all windows, doors, and all tricky places to repair are good.
The car still has all its original FoMoCo windows in it and they're in good shape. All the trim is present. The drivers' window is sitting in the door.

Before the car is road worthy, it will need rear shock mounts and wiring work. All the original wiring is there and in decent shape but needs to have all connectors cleaned and reconnected to where it belongs. Its currently "hot wired" to start with a toggle switch under the dash.

The car is being sold As-Is / Where-Is. Please ask any and all questions before bidding. I'm more than happy to send you pictures of anything you want to see. An in person inspection is welcome and encouraged.
This car is selling for No Reserve and will go to the top bidder.
