Car description |
---|
1962 Ford F100 Stepside. Body and frame very solid for a truck this vintage. Only selling because I have another truck I'm working on. I believe this truck has original motor. 6 cylinder, 3 speed on column, good tires, wood bed. Several new parts including: gas tank, exhaust, Classic Instruments gauges, window regulator, door/window handles, matching interior knobs, cab mounts, turn signal switch. All lights work. Paint is overall good, but has some defects (seen in pics). Some minor rust on driver and passenger side floor (seen in pics from underneath). Truck runs good. Steering has normal play but is still fun to drive. Original odometer had just over 62,000 miles on it but was not working when I purchased the truck. New odometer has less than 300 miles (could not set new odometer to old odometer reading). Clean title in my possession.
Frame and braces are solid. Wood in bed is also solid but looks weathered. Believe this is the original color (Baffin Blue) based on the numbers. Truck was manufactured in Texas and I believe it stayed in Texas until I purchased about a year ago. Had a professional who has restored/modified old cars and trucks for years look at the engine and transmission and they were both OK for the age of the truck. I have a mechanic's book (from LMC) for 1962 Ford Trucks and also have touch up paint that will come with the truck.
Replaced original Odometer and Speedometer with a vintage looking gauge from Classic Instruments (runs on GPS). Has spot for a radio, but did not have a radio when I purchased truck.
Will accept cashiers checks, money orders or PayPal. Selling as-is, no refunds and buyer will need to arrange and pay for shipping.
