This is an amazing restoration project for someone who is into restoring cars. I got it thinking I would get into that. then realized I'm not a mechanic and would have to pay someone else to do all the work. Now I'm engaged and need to finance a wedding instead. so the 'bird is going. "Fair" condition. Runs and drives. Crack in windshield (new windshield gasket though). rust in front floorboards. Gas pedal fell off (still have it). paint needs refinishing with minor surface rust showing where the paint is peeling off. some bumps and bruises but no dents! Not bad for over 50 years old. though! Driver-side seat looks like a dog chewed on it at some time in the past. Headliner needs to be replaced (I have a new one already. just not installed). Air conditioning is installed. but doesn't currently work. Someone put a later year radio/cassette player in there (from a tbird). but it's not stock to this car as cassette tapes weren't around yet. Radio doesn't work. either. Should be easy fixes. though. The gas gauge is a little funky. I've replaced the carb (kept it original). had the power steering. the brakes. and the solenoid re-done. And replaced the windshield gasket because it was leaking (leading to the floorboard rust. no doubt). All electrical is good - lights all work. turn signals. etc. Windshield wipers work. too (I had to replace those as well). When she hasn't ran for a little bit. I do need to pour a little gas in the carb to get her running. She'll start right up then. and once she's going. she'll restart without needing the gas again. Come rescue this beauty from my yard and bring her back to her former glory!! What a cool luxury car for the year. think about it - 1963 with a swing away steering wheel and air conditioning. I say again - cassette tapes weren't around yet. but this boat has A/C and leather seats. And the afterburner tail lights. Yowza!Check out this video of it to hear the motor: http://youtu. be/YWc_rFLTObIAgain. I'm not a mechanic. so I can't answer technical questions about it. What I can do. though. is schedule a skype call with anyone who wants to "virtually inspect" the car. I'll point the camera anywhere you want. and show as much detail as you need. I want to make sure that the sale is good and everyone is happy. It really is a beautiful car. and every time I drive it down the road. I get honks. whistles. and waves the whole way. I pull into a car show and everyone wants to come chat about it. It's an infamous "Bullet Bird" and there's not much else like it out there! The 1963 year was the only year of the bullet birds (61-63) that has the has marks on the door. A really cool and unique classic car. that runs and drives!---Vehicle is located in Asheville. NC. If you're nearby and want to stop and check it out. great. Otherwise. as I mentioned. Skype is available for serious inquiries. Buyer is responsible for shipping car. though I've been watching "Shipping Wars" on TV and it seems like that might be a great option for shipping the car. Maybe I'll be able to watch the 'bird go across the country on TV. Ha ha
