1968Ford Ranchero GT 500
Factory Ford GT package Ranchero, former California truck/car, very solid with an incredibly straight body and virtually no rust. Truck is basically untouched with it's factory 390 V8, factory air-conditioning, power steering, power brakes, GT wheels, etc. Marti report pulled on car, with exception of one repaint in red (car was originally Gulfstream Aqua blue), car is just as it came from factory with it's options and is unmolested. Interior is it's original Parchment with black components.
Per Marti Report, car was built April 16, 1968 and was delivered to Auburn, California. Also includes from factory:
3.0 limited slip rear axle
C-6 Auto Transmission
power disc brakes
heavy duty suspension
tinted glass
SelectAire air conditioning
Car shows 37,300 miles. No documentation to support it's actual mileage but the doors have no sag, shut perfectly and tight, no brake pedal wear.
Many new upgrades over the recent past including:
new valve cover gaskets
radiator Flush
new thermostat
new radiator overflow tank
new fuel lines
new fuel pump
new brake lines
new master cylinder
new battery
new front and rear motor mounts
new belts and hoses
full tune-up
complete front end rebuild and alignment
new tires
new front and rear brake rebuild
new fuel tank hose
new dual exhaust
carb rebuild
etc.
Tailgate, bed, bottom of doors are rust free and beautiful. Under carriage is original and not been cleaned or painted. You can see how solid this car is in the pictures with no patches that I've found. Repaint was done a very long time ago and you can tell how solid the truck is with no “fresh†repairs that will pop up later. Paint is crazed, slightly faded and has two areas where the paint has lifted off. One on the cowl vent and one on the top of the driver's side front fender. The car has a nice patina look due to it.
Interior is original. Carpet has no holes but is faded. No cracks in dash. 51 years of age on some of the interior trim but it's complete. Original seat has one small tear where the driver sits. Glass is good, door rubber is tired. Ranchero has an old, white tonneau for the bed but age has shrunk it. Bed of the truck basically has very small dings but not big dents and shows it wasn't used hard. Bumpers are solid but have similar patina.
Bought the Ranchero for my wife who is an antique furniture dealer and who keeps borrowing my '66 Chevy truck. Thought she'd prefer a smaller, low to the ground vehicle (of her own) to haul her furniture but she prefers my Chevy for the bigger bed so I'm selling the Ranchero. Took truck to local restoration shop to look over before listing. He found nothing wrong other than a exhaust manifold gasket leak on passenger side and said mechanically, it's a strong running truck. He said truck is the most solid unrestored 60's body he's seen in years.
Drive as is or a very easy restoration candidate. Please feel free to call or write with questions, to arrange an inspection or test drive. Happy to work with long distance buyers in working with shipping.
I've listed everything I can think of but am sure there might be things I've missed. Please call with any questions. Can send tons more pictures upon request. H828-877-5351or C828-553-3217. Leave message on both lines. Feel free to email but if you appear to be a scammer, I will not reply.
