Offered for sale is an award winning 1939, all "Henry Steel" Ford Rumble Seat Convertible Coupe. I have owned it for 26 years and was completed in it's present form in 2010. Since then, it has been driven over 15,000 miles from Wisconsin to Florida to California. Awards include GOODGUYS PICK IN DES MOINES IOWA and many more BEST IN SHOW. Specifics are as follows:
BODY: all steel body, painted deep black with functional, upholstered rumble seat, reshaped folding top with haartz cloth material, & 41 studebaker split rear glass with Packard style valance. Original style grille, headlights and taillights (LED).
INTERIOR: Burgundy & Black with 6 way power leather seats, power windows, air conditioning and heat. Intermittent wipers. Special limited classic guages, (pinstriped by Von Door). Chrome tilt column, wood grained banjo steering wheel & door trim, Kenwood stereo with 300-Watt amp, Hidden power antenna and custom dash with engine turned stainless panels.
CHASSIS: FRAME - custom, Mustang II style with power rack & Aldan coil over adjustable shocks. Front & rear sway bars. All tubular cross members on frame. Leaf springs rear with built in traction bars. Stainless steel polished fuel tank, stainless fuel & brake lines, power brakes.
POWERTRAIN: Engine started life as a Chevy 348 "w" motor but since has been bored and stroked and is now 439 cubic inches. It is a completely balanced assembly including flywheel & clutch. There are 3 rochester 350 cfm carbs on an Edelbrock modified intake, progressive linkage, Edelbrock aluminum heads, pocket ported & port matched. The cam is a Comp cams Thumper with a 4-7 switch and roller hydraulic lifters and roller rockers. The flywheel is aluminum, The clutch is a centerforce unit with a hydraulic throwout bearing. The transmission is a Tremec T56 - 6 speed with double overdrive, Final ratio being .50! The differential is a Ford 9" housing with 4.11 gear ratio on a Detroit Locker with a Daytona pinion 3rd member. The exhaust is hot coat powder coated, 3" diameter with an H-pipe.
