For all of us who are looking for a time capsule, here's a true vintage dream truck. This 1979 Ford F-150 Ranger XLT has been given the right investments to retain a great classic presentation, proper V8 power, and a comfy A/C interior.
You just don't see trucks like this anymore. 1979 was the last, and arguably the best year for this classic style of the F-150 pickup. The two-tone Light Blue and Wimbledon White is a later application with a terrific modern clearcoat shine. Still, it gives warm feeling of an F-Series truck of an even older vintage. Plus, all the highly stylized brightwork trim makes for a nice dividing line for the two-tone while also highlighting how straight the body panels are. So it gives off the look of a well-respected pickup from a bygone era. But despite 1950s era colors, the younger age means this truck still has a lot of practical daily use left in it. In fact, look inside the bed. It has color-matched liner paint for so it always looks good AND it's always ready for whenever you want to pull real truck duty.
The blue and white exterior attitude is taken to a new level inside. You'll first notice the seat with a textured white cover and cool multi-tone blue cloth insert. It coordinates nicely with the door panel inserts, as well as the dash and door tops that are painted the exterior blue. They took their time with the upgrades, and so they are well-integrated in places like the retro-style AM/FM stereo with aux input for your iPod. This also has recently serviced modern R134a air conditioning. But let's face it, on a truck like this you want to get your breezes the old-school way. That's why you have side vent windows and a sliding rear glass.
More of the carefully preserved presentation is under the hood. The 302 cubic-inch V8 is believed to be original, and it has a tidy look of a proper investment. It was even given a tune up this year. It has nice details, right down to the jack that's still mounted to the inner fender. As good as this looks, deep down this is a workhorse. The V8 has plenty of grunt to make light work of any task you throw at it. Plus, the three-speed automatic, power steering, and power front disc brakes are handy features for everyday use.
The sale comes complete with the Marti Report, owner's manual, and maintenance records. This is a true vintage machine that does everything a classic truck should, including looking terrific when it arrives. Don't miss this deal, call today!
