1956 Ford F100Short bed / Step side
Up for your consideration is my 1956 F100. This is a California rock solid rust free gem I bought in Napa Valley, CA about 2 years ago.
This truck was on the road in 2017. I've had it tucked away in my climate controlled storage since bringing it to Utah. I had great plans for it but those plans have changed and a house remodel has been bumped up the list. This '56 has a lot going for it .... solid California truck with no ro, straight and even body panel gaps, Ford 302 V8 swap (was told it was out of an '80's era mustang), 5 speed manual transmission, power steering, brand new chrome steely wheels(Summit Racing) and new Cooper tires, brand new chrome grille and front bumper from Mid-Fifty, brand new door glass from LMC (both doors), newer rear window and gasket, new tail light lenses, new tailgate hardware/chains, Grant tilt-away steering column and steering wheel, Pioneer stereo deck w/Kenwood speakers. Dash is perfect and has not been cut. Bench seat is in great shape with newer upholstery.
All that said, she's not a perfect "trailer queen" but would be the perfect candidate to take it there if you wanted. The paint is about 13 years old and is amateur. It polished up really well and looks great from a few feet back ... get close and you'll see some runs here and there and other paint imperfections. The front windshield has a rock chip on the passenger side. The body is in fantastic shape with the exception of the tailgate that has its share of dings. The wood bed is solid and intact but could use a fresh coat of stain. The stainless bed rails are in great shape.
The engine is a Ford 302 CID with a manual 5 speed tranny ... clutch works great and shifts through all gears smoothly. Engine has upgraded electronic ignitio, newer Edelbrock 4bbl carb, and chrome headers. Brakes are good and are drums all the way around. A nice upgrade would be a front disc brake set up.
Bid with confidence. You'll be hard pressed to find one like this at a reasonable price. Comparatively speaking, I've got it priced sell. I'm motivated but certainly not desperate.
Housekeeping:Please ask all questions, have funds in place, and permission (if needed, haha) BEFORE bidding. It takes a lot of time and money to list on ebay and I don't want to waste my, or anyone elses, time. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, but I'm willing to help on my end to make sure all goes well with your transport at pick up time. Truck is being sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied. I'm not a dealer. I've described the vehicle as straight forwardly as I can. To serious bidders, if you want to see anything that isn't pictured I'm happy to take additional photos of what you'd like to see and email them to yo, just ask. I'm willing to discuss the truck on the phone with serious buyers, simply email me your phone number and I will call you. I'll consider ending the aution early if you would like to make an offer that's good for both of us. Good Luck !!
