The general condition of this 1978 Ford F150 Ranger XLT Highboy is amazing!! NOW, before y'all go sayin' this isn't a TRUE Highboy. You are CORRECT! This is not necessarily a TRUE Highboy (which are actually pre 1977.5 F250's 4WD Trucks with a divorced transfer case, blah, blah, blah), but this truck emulates everything that the look & feel of a true Highboy does. This F150 Ranger XLT 4WD exudes the BAD ASS look and feel of any "true" Highboy. This is a one-owner patina hot rod shop truck that has been METICULOUSLY cared for as you will see in the photos and video! It is plain to see that it was never abused, and this Highboy is a very nice truck! Nearly everything is original to this truck (some has been reconditioned or refreshed, but it all was original to this truck); the motor, the body, the chrome, the moldings, the interior, the trim... Everything except the carpet and seat upholstery is original to the truck. We left it all on the truck and only refreshed/restored what was needed like deoxidize the original paint, clean the seat and the carpet.

It has an AMAZING ORIGINAL 400 V8 with ONLY 114K ORIGINAL MILES! Being meticulously maintained, it starts from stone cold immediately and has TONS of power! The undercarriage is smooth & black, It is so clean (SEE PICTURES BELOW). It has smooth original paint that has a wonderful patina that shows great care. There are only a few imperfections that are only noticeable from a close distance. The curb appeal is FREAKING AWESOME! On the inside the seats are refreshed upholstery and the door panels are in excellent original condition. The dash is solid with one or two minor cracks. The original carpet was replaced with fresh deep brown carpet. This is a truck that has been maintained in a meticulous condition to drive and enjoy. It has SO MUCH POWER, and is a thrill to drive!! Mechanical Description

This '78 F150 Ranger XLT runs AMAZING! The ORIGINAL 400 V8 engine starts and rumbles to life instantly from stone cold. The engine along with the transmission are in great condition. There is 114K ORIGINAL miles on the odometer, motor & body. This 1978 F150 Ranger XLT "Highboy" is ready to go! The mechanical is in EXCELLENT CONDITION. Ready to customize even further with high performance additions of your liking (Holley Sniper EFI, Headers, etc.) The 400 V8 starts right up after sitting for months at a time and drives VERY strong. Everything from the engine back to the rear differential has been tuned recently. The engine along with the transmission have gone under full Pre-Purchase Inspection by a professional mechanic and has been tuned to perform as strong as possible. The compression is 128-132psi on every cylinder, and the oil pressure is a solid 45-60 psi (500-2500 RPM). It starts, runs, and drives STRONG.

RARE 16" Turbine Alloy wheels look AWESOME with the 33" BFG tires have 50% tread but are in good condition. The truck sounds great and runs strong! It has tons of POWER. Everything appears to work nicely. The A/C works but can be retrofitted by our shop as we are a Vintage Air Reseller/Installer (Call 801-839-4224 for details). This Highboy dominates any road, on or off. As with all used cars no express warranties are implied. Exterior Description

The exterior of this truck is beautiful original paint that has an amazing patina and the burnt orange color is a head turner. There are ZERO rust/rot issues on this truck. It is 100% original solid Ford Steel top to bottom, front to back. It is certain to draw the attention of everyone who sees it. It constantly gets compliments EVERY time we take it out for a drive. The undercarriage is solid and SPOTLESS black! (SEE PICTURES BELOW) It has a beautiful patina paint as you can tell in the photos with only some SUPER MINOR imperfections typical of vehicle that has been driven. However, these imperfections are NOT typical of a vehicle of this age. It should look much more used and abused.

As you can see in the picture the dark orange has been gently worn through to the underlying ORIGINAL primer coat giving it a wonderful natural patina. These little imperfections are only noticeable from close up, but actually are what make the patina so beautiful. It has been carefully maintained, and there is no evidence of any body damage anywhere. The front grille looks very nice and is original. This Highboy is SO nice, yet you wont be afraid to drive and enjoy it everyday. The bed is smooth and in nice condition with a new spray-in bedliner. Interior Description

The inside is in near spotless condition and LOOKS AMAZING!! It has the feel of an original condition Ford Truck with original seat covered in new period correct upholstery. As you can see in the picture below, the DEEP BROWN carpet floor is brand new and looks awesome. The overall interior feel is beautiful, and the door panels are original with light surface wear, but nothing at all major.
