This car belonged to my brother-in-law. He passed away and I have been asked to sell it to help the three children he left behind. This is a rare Mustang Feature Car. 1 of 444 produced, this yellow on black convertible is a real head turner. It was his baby, and has always been garage kept under a premium cover. 78,776 pampered miles. He upgraded to flow master exhaust, giving it just the right note. Rear wheel drive 5.0 with a manual gear box, it's hard not to smile when driving. The car is clean, no rust or rot. A few tasteful upgrades like MSD distributor and the exhaust, but it's basically as it was from Ford in 1993. I reached out to the fox body mustang community and found out as much as I could.
1993 was the last year of the Fox body Mustang. This was the car that brought the pony back to a true gallop, and so Ford wanted to send it off properly. There were only a few special editions made, and this highly original example is one of the boldest of them all. With a terrific factory look, and the right worthwhile upgrades, this 1993 Ford Mustang LX Convertible Limited Edition is a true modern classic of distinction.

Chrome Yellow really is quite striking. It was introduced only for this special edition car in 1993, and only 444 examples were made with the manual transmission. It was actually a preview of the bolder colors offered on the next generation, and so this car provides a very cool look into the future. That also meant the vibrant color looks great in the sunshine, exactly what you want on a droptop. The body lines are straight, all panel gaps are precise. These special edition cars were not just about the paint, but also the details. It has a unique style with body-colored mirrors and a proper spoiler in place of the luggage rack, and this was all done at the factory.
Black was the optional color to go with the yellow, and we all know it's worth it, because that's a timeless combo. So this car looks great with the black roof in place, or when you take it down to reveal the full blackout interior. This is a collector car that has been treated with respect, so the leather on the seats still feels supple. The dash is excellent, no cracks or fading. Plus, the Limited Edition package meant the galloping horses in the headrests, similar to the famous Pony package of the iconic first generation! This has a ton of great factory features, like power locks, cruise control, driver's airbag, anti-lock brakes, power windows and power convertible top. Together, they mean you don't have to leave the driver's seat to go from enclosed comfort to a wind-in-your-hair experience. And with air conditioning, you can enjoy top-down motoring long into the summer.
Under the hood is what makes the Fox bodies a true legend. The fuel-injected 5.0-liter V8 is great for delivering on the Mustang's power promise. The same goes for the short shift 5 speed gear box. Add in power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, a limited-slip rear end, and sway bars front & rear, and you soon realize this is the Limited Edition convertible you'll love driving everywhere.
Complete with original owner's manual, factory convertible boot, premium cover, and Chilton manuals, this is a rare, significant, and distinct Mustang. She had been sitting in the garage for years, and with a new battery she came to life and is now sitting in climate controlled storage here in San Clemente, CA. She could use a good once over, I didn't really detail it before shooting the pics. With a good polish this car will pop. It runs strong, no major issues that I noticed. The radio is non op at this time but I haven't done any trouble shooting. The top went up and down easily, windows all work great, all in all she's pretty sweet but could use a good once over to make perfect. It's still a 26 year old vehicle and will show imperfections. I provided over 130 pics to show detail. No warranty written expressed nor implied. If you have questions PLEASE call me on my cell 760.822.026nine.
