This car is a Mercury retrimmed and sold under the brand name Monarch only at Canadian Ford dealers. They were built in very low numbers - I think there would be less than 4,500 of these built. Richelieu being the top of the line and equivalent to the Mercury Montclair in the USA. Low survival rate in a harsh northern climate makes this very rare. This western car is just out of 30 year storage. 312 V8, automatic. Highly optioned - power windows, seats, steering. extremely rare accessory wheel. Power brakes were removed at some point in the past and a manual brake master cylinder was installed. I have a regular radio for it but it was originally a T&C signal seeking radio in it. Slight scuff damage on passenger door while in storage. Some lower body/floor rust but still relatively solid. I noted body fill in a few areas. Looks decent as a "20 footer" but requires a full restoration - looks to have had a repaint in the very distant past. This car yard runs/drives at this point, it's been off the road since the 1970s - just installed new water pump, thermostat, fuel pump, rebuilt carb, and re-cored radiator. Requires interior work and headliner, carpet, exhaust, etc. Starts right up every time, sounds excellent, runs smooth no smoke. Good oil pressure. Can be a driver with some TLC, or is worthy of a full restoration. Clear BC title. Vehicle in Central British Columbia. Videos of this car on my youtube channel running and moving. I can deliver to Vancouver BC for USA for overseas shipping. This vehicle is advertised in other locales so I reserve the right to end this auction early.
