Refinished in its original birth color of Thunderbird Blue, this award winning TBird is complemented by a black, cloth soft top, and two tone Turquoise and white interior. Having been completely restored to show quality standards, every inch of this car is better than new. The exterior paintwork is simply flawless and gleams with a mirror finish. The black cloth top is brand new and has never been folded, and was custom built so it can be removed quickly, like a hard top. Inward, the noted top notch restoration quality continues. The two tone power bench seat is firm and comfortable and shows as new. Noted features are 56 style visors, power windows, converted AM/FM radio, converted quartz clock, and the heat/defroster.
Still housing the original 292 V8, this Tbird produces 198 horsepower and 286 pounds of torque and is backed by a three speed automatic. Having extensive restoration work, the engine features hardened seals so it can run on todays fuels, and the rebuilt transmission also runs with newer dextron fluids. With only 148 miles since restoration, all the mechanicals are new or rebuilt and work flawlessly. This car is optioned with power steering and included in the sale is a log for restoration work and awards as well.
First generation T-Birds are the most desirable ever produced and this is the finest example available today. With the ideal colors and a meticulous restoration, this TBird is as good as it gets so stop by our showroom and see how nice our 55 Thunderbird really is, down to the last detail!
