Car description

A true barn find. This car is very rusty. It is partially disassembled...mostly just some trim parts and seats, console etc removed. All parts are there...with OEM extra parts available as well. I am listing this car for my Dad as he's not internet savvy. He is happy to speak with anyone interested, however I will be handling the initial contact for him. My name is Troy...my Dad's name is Dale.

This car is not a Shelby GT, it is an original Ford Mustang GT convertible.

Needs complete restoration or great for parts car. Have been offered $5000 just for title and matching numbers. Car is rough, but lots of parts in great condition. You will need to bring a trailer. My father bought this car in 1965 and drove it for about 105k miles and then drove it into the barn. He used to start it up once in a while but then it was eventually forgotten and time took its toll.

Here's what my dad says about the car..."I special ordered the car in 1965 and waited 2.5 months for it from Bob Cook Ford in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.I am the original owner, I have the title, and I have the window sticker and Owners manual...I still need to find the window sticker and manual but I know I have them.

It is a barn find and the years have taken their toll.It was driven into the barn back in 1980.It was last licensed in 1979.It is in very poor condition; however it is all original and all numbers match. My son started on the path to restore this car about 25 years ago and has removed various items including some of the interior and some trim pieces as well as the trunk lid, hood and radiator.I still have all/most of the parts and all that I have is included with the car...however I am not guaranteeing that every little piece is there, as it's been a long 35+ years since it was parked. It has been on blocks this whole time. I doubt the engine turns over. It has literally sat untouched for the last 30+ years in this barn.

SEE PHOTOS! Car is sold as is! Make offer...highest offer will be accepted.

I do not have the time, knowledge or ability to rebuild it, but I'd like to see it get done. I think it has about 100,030 miles on odometer. It needs a lot of work and TLC so I hope someone out there will reincarnate it and call me to witness it with my own eyes.

I'm 76 now, so I probably don't have a helluva lot of years left.

Thanks for looking!
