Car description |

This is a unique 1963 Ford E-100 Econoline Pickup truck. These units were manufactured from 1962 to 1967 and could be considered America's first "mini pickup". This one is a 5 window version. Of the 11000 units produced in 1963, only 1022 were the custom 5 window. The vehicle is a 6 cylinder with a "3 on the tree" standard transmission. The engine has been replaced with what I am told is a 170 from a '78 Fairmont. The body was customized in the 70's with a custom front grill, chrome bumper and custom rear bumper. The tailgate rear has been filled and the bed has been sprayed with Hurculiner. The wheels are period Cragar's and there is a spare set of rims included. The cab has recently been upgraded with new upholstery, cab insulation, cab liners and headliner.
It starts and runs great. No smoke. Transmission has been flawless. Paint is still great with no checking. Painted PPG Dodge Viper Red, it does have some surface rust along the lower rockers, a little at the cab seam and one blotch on the passenger window post. These are documented in the pictures. A little sanding and a re-spray would finish it off. The frame is solid with no rust and only leak I have noticed is at the rear of the transmission. I suspect it is a dry seal from sitting. All in all this vehicle has been a head turner and fun to drive.
Please contact before bidding if you have less than three E-Bay purchases or a negative profile.
