Please read the following description before bidding. Here is a true collectors/investment quality 1972 Ford Mustang Vinyl Top Coupe. She comes with a copy of the original 1972 Texas title. her original 1972 window sticker. her original 1972 dealer buyers sales agreement. original owners manual with warranty book and consumer information document and even her first oil change recipt at the dealership. This Mustang sold at Charlie Hillard Ford in Fort Worth Texas on July 26th 1972; purchased by Doctor Marion Moore of Arlington. TX with a total price of $3600. 10. Dr. Moore was a Professior at the University of Arlington for 44 years and at the age of 76. passed in December of 2010. His wife sold the Mustang in April 2011 to the second owners in Azle. TX through a broker. The new local owners valued the Mustang and preserved the origniality of the car and found after 4 years has decided to go to a new home. Since this Mustang has had a complete bumper to bumper inspection and major maintenance completed; this includes new tires. battery cables. brakes. heater core. AC discharge and recharge with pressure test. transmission serviced and an engine check and tune-up completed. The Mustang showed to have been perfectly serviced and maintained as told. The window sticker shows her factory options including her Special Order "Gold Glow" paint color with a factory White Vinyl top. She shows to have had a one repaint but maintained all of her original bumpers and trim. Her interior is original and for the age we would consider close to excellent. you will find wear on the driver inside door panel were the original owner would use his foot to assist with opening the door. The second owners purchased a brand new matching set of interior door panels but decided to keep the originals (the new panels come with the car). This is a factory V8 302 with an Automatic Transmission. High back bucket seats. Air Conditioning and Power Steering. The AC works great and the compressor and system has had a compelte 134a upgrade. The heater works perfect with a brand new heater core installed. The original AM Radio works great. All the dash lights including oil pressure. temp. brakes and alternator all work and even the Fuel gauge works as it should. even the seatbelt warning light and buzzer works as it should and cigarette lighter works perfect. She is all numbers matching and even looks to have her original carburator. She fires right up. shifts great and has plunty of power. This Mustang has been inside our shop and has no issues with leaks. battery drains or smoking while running or at idle. Bottom line; this is one of the best original. documented and ready to drive classics with outstanding ownership history. Even thought this Mustang spent most of her life parked in a garage. she did have a repaint years ago from just aging of the paint. I was also told that the original owners wife would park next to this car in the garage and when she would open her door it would slightly hit the passenger door of the Mustang and over the many years would cause the paint to chip off. this can still be found on the passenger door and somewhat noticable about 20 feet away. Regarding Rust; their is no rust or rust repairs on this car. All her panels are original and was told this car was a pleasure vehicle for the owner and mostly driven on sunny days. I have tried to go over all known details. but I can answer any further questions. The car does have a push button under the dash that needs to be held to start the car; this was installed when new at the dealership as an anti-theft installed option and even shows on the original sales agreement. This car is not a perfect car that sat in a time capsule since new. but an extreamly nice super original car that was taken care of better then 95% of all the other ones. The value of this car can not be judged based on the average sale price as this is NOT an average car. We do the best we can to discribe as we see the cars. Bottom line. I like this car and that says allot as we build some of the best Mustangs for clients all over the world. If you have any questions; call Ron Hentschel at 682-333-7433.
