Super RareCalifornia Born & Raised
I got this truck from a old winery in Sonoma county about five years ago. I took it home, took a lot of it apart, cleaned it up and put it back together with new, rebuilt and updated components.
This truck starts every time, runs like a champ and is an absolute workhorse while still being cool as hell.
Rebuilt RadiatorNew Water PumpUpdated to a Four Barrel Holley CarburetorRebuilt Transmission, new clutch (about 1000 miles)Dual ExhaustAftermarket TachometerUpdated Oil Pressure & Water temp gaugesBumpers have been removed to reduce weight
The body has a lot of light surface rust but I wash the truck with CLR as often as possible. The frame is solid, straight and rust free and the floor pans are solid. The driver's side has a couple holes, probably from years of boot heals but nothing outrageous.
Problems:Needs a new window actuator and crank on the driver's side door. The glass is fine but stuck inside the door. The panels are easily removable and have been taken off before to be cleaned and they were painted red to match the rest of the truck accents.
The hood needs to be adjusted. Foolishly, I took the hood off when I cleaned it, painted it and rebuilt the hinges. It needs to be fiddled with but I've just left it alone. It opens and closes correctly but for esthetic reasons, it should be adjusted.
