Kentucky owned the car. my car restoring friend from near Cincinnati found the car for me. I did a few minor things. I bought the car for resell. HAS THE CAR EVER BEEN IN A WRECK? I see no signs of a accident. the frame members are straight and I see no kinks in the sheet metal. HOW ABOUT RUST? I think this is a very solid car. The floors look original to me. they have no under coating so you can see them good. they do have some rusty color. but I see no holes and no swelled places. I would spray a little rattle can under coating on. but guys think I'm trying to cover something up. The rear quarter inside drop downs could have been replaced. the spot welds don't look factory. ENGINE: 289 cubic inch that runs sweet. I hear no knocks. I see no blue smoke. I see no bad oil leaks. The engine has plenty of power. a four barrell carburater has been added. it looks like a 600 CFM to me. The air cleaner says HiPo. but the engine is not. its just a replica air cleaner added. TRANSMISSION: C4 automatic that I think shifts good. REAR-END: 8 inch Ford with a good highway gearing. I hear no whines or growls. HOW IS THE PAINT? I consider it extra nice driver paint. The color looks like the ivy green. its a nice dark green. The body is nice and straight to look down the sides. I see no bubbles in the paint. a little orange peel down low. no dents. The shine is very good. I think this color has a little metallic in it. HOW IS THE INTERIOR? The seat cover are very good. headliner nice. door panels good. carpet decent. dash pad has no cracks. but has a couple of waves at the front edge. The steering wheel is cracked. the painted areas good with some minor scuffs. I will put a new steering wheel on at cost. some guys like the wood grain and some the original black. HOW IS THE GLASS? The windshield has been replaced and is clear with no wiper marks. the side window roll up good for a Mustang. HOW IS THE CHROME AND STAINLESS? Very nice. but not new. no rust and no fading. some little pits on the door handles and trunk bezel. HOW ARE THE TIRES AND WHEELS? Tires look like new. they are larger than original. they are 215/60/40. The wheels are the style steel option and look good. but do have some dull places. HOW IS THE EXHAUST? The muffler are not loud. they look fairly new. the pipes are old and rusty. HOW ARE THE GAUGES? The gas gauge works. the speedometer works. the oil and charge lights work. the temp gauge works. DO THE LIGHTS WORK? The headlights work. the tail lights work. the turn signals work. the brakes lights work. the interior lights work. RADIO IS THE ORIGINAL AM AND WORKS! HEATER BLOWER WORKS! AIR CONDITIONING COMES ON AND BLOWS. I guess it works good. it cold and hard to tell. HOW IS THE PANEL FIT? I think its good for a early Mustang. The doors close good. the hood fits decent. the trunk is up a little on the passengers back side due to tight rubble. HOW DOES THE CAR DRIVE? It is power steering and drives like a 1965 Mustang did. By that I mean it drives OK. but compared to todays cars I would say it does not drive great. HOW DOES THE CAR STOP? The brakes are disc in front and drums in the rear with a added dual master cycliner. I think it stop fine. it is power assisted (it has a booster). I don't like the feel of old power boosters. this one is touchy! THIS IS A DESCRIPTION. IT IS NOT AN INSPECTION! I just put lots of information to give you a idea about how the car is.
