1955 ford thunderbird barn find 53,000 original miles, v8 292, automatic, power steering original 6volt. Purchase from an estate from second owners. Last driven in 1979, last oil change was 1975. He purchasing another convertible so he just stopped driving in 1979 and parked the car in a barn where it sat till a couple months ago. Still has silvertown bias ply wide white tires on it. After I purchased the car I changed all the fluids, rebuilt the master cylinder, wheel cylinders, and replaced the brake hoses. Rebuilt the factory Holley 4000 teapot carburetor, changed the spark plugs and wires with correct oem wires, rotor cap, and installed a pointless electronic ignition. Changed the transmission filter and fluid. Installed a new fuel tank and sending unit. We've driven the car about 200 miles with no problems, very fun little car. Body and floors appear to be in good shape. Paint has chips scratches etc. Keep in mind the car is 64+ years old, and has been sitting for 40 years so the car will obviously need some attention.
