Cheap way into a classic pick-up1978 Ford F150 Ranger XLT package302 (5.0) V8. Automatic transmission92,000 miles
Here's the sob story. I bought it last September while looking for an old Ford to hotrod up for cruise nights. After looking at this one and seeing how intact and complete it is I had to have it.I can't call it 'original" because I believe it's been painted once. But I will say it's all there the way it's supposed to be. Rides quiet with NO OLD TRUCK RATTLES! This truck drives down the road nice. Just about how I expect a truck like this drove around 1983. I bought this from a girl that I believe was the second owner. I would not even be selling this truck if it wasn't for the fact that I need a new year round daily driver to get me through the winter. So if you have a little bit of mechanical and bodywork skills and you want to finish this up take a look at the details. Runs and drives nice. I drive it a couple times a month to keep everything moving.Mechanically it's very sound. No engine noises. No smoke, no leaks. New carb (original also included)Carb probably needs some adjusting as it clunks going into reverse like the idle is a little too high. But I can't find the happy medium.
Body wise. Biggest issues are driver's side rear wheel arch over the tire. And passenger side cab corner. ( Both of which I have the repair panels for and they are included) Bottom of tailgate is also rotted out and I have a factory Ford gate that is also included. (See pics). Paint is in decent shape and more than presentable as it sits. Bed is in great shape with just two minor holes at the rear (see pics)
Interior.... Pretty much speaks for itself. Super clean XLT woodgrain trim.amd full carpeting. Still has the factory am/FM radio that still works.
All four tires are in great shape.
I recently replaced turn signal switch Added rear sliding window (original stationary glass included)
If this interests you please come take a look at it BEFORE bidding . I don't think you will be disappointed but I want to make sure the buyer is happy and comfortable with the deal. I can post a billion pics but pics on the internet always look a bit better..just a fact of life.
Truck is currently registered in Rhode Island and they will not issue a title on a vehicle this old. So it will be sold with a bill of sale as well as a copy of current registration which is all you will need in a title state like Massachusetts.Truck is currently inspected in Rhode Island till October 2020. A NON REFUNDABLE deposit of $500.00 is due via PayPal within 24 hours of auction end. No more/no lessBalance due in full within three days of auction end. If more time is needed for pick up of the vehicle that may be arranged as long as payments are made in the above time period. I will help best as I can with availability to meet with any transport company if needed. If you can't meet the above criteria please do not bid. Thanks for looking.
