Car description |

Very nice, all original 1972 Ford F250 Factory High Boy 4X4 Sport Custom. The only things changed are the radio and the wheels. The original split rim wheels were replaced for a safer 1 piece wheel. The spare is still the original split rim. Tires are in good shape.
It has the original 360 2 barrel V8 with the New Process 435 4 speed transmission and divorced New Process transfer case. The engine starts right up, runs strong, does not smoke or leak and there is no lifter noise as was possible on these old FE engines with the solid rocker shafts. It has a newer water pump, new fuel pump, new battery and the original carburetor was just rebuilt. It still has the original tag on the top of the carb. It has a fresh oil change and filter as well as the air filter.
The clutch is very smooth, does not chatter and engages/disengages as it should. The transmission shifts into all gears well. With these old NP435s, you cannot be in a hurry when shifting though! 4 wheel drive works as it should. The speedometer functions as it should. It needs a new turn signal plastic cam as it does not cancel as it should, no biggee.
The body is quite good for it's age. There are some wrinkles on the passenger door and a few small spots of rust. The cab mounts and floors are solid. Any rust spots can be easily repaired. All panels are original as is the paint. It has the enviable West Coast stainless steel mirrors and they are in great shape.
Then interior is in remarkable shape. The seat has the original upholstery and the floor mat is original. The dash pad needs replaced as they all do by this age.
Overall, this is a very solid, original survivor truck with very low miles. I am quite sure it has only 108,xxx on it as the condition of the truck overall will back it up. If you have any questions not answered above, please give me a call at (406) 539-4500. I will be happy to answer all questions.
