Please read the below information before bidding.
OPERATIONAL STATUS: As detailed below, this car has been almost totally rebuilt (including motor). However, it was put into non-operation status in 2014. Because of it sitting, it appears that the fuel injection system is clogged. It will start with starter fluid, but will not keep running (starves for gas).
I am starting the bid at scrap value, with the hopes someone may have an interest in either restoring the car or otherwise have use for the many new parts.
I had originally planned on using this car as my daily driver for years, however, now have to many grandchildren for it to carry. It is amazingly reliable (see Edmunds Reviews/mazda motor), has good performance (I drove it up the Cajon Pass in California often and would go over the pass at the 70 Speed Limit in 4th gear) and it will get over 50MPG on the freeway and average about 38MPG around town.
The Car is completely assembled, I just included pictures shown during the rebuild.
PROS:
-Original miles 181, 270
-New Motor (Pistons, rings, bearings, head, radiator, water pump, timing belt, gaskets, etc.-see pictures) with only about 10K miles since rebuild.
-Front End rebuilt (all bushings, ball joints, cv & rack/pinion boots, brakes/rotors) at about 144K miles.
-Good tires and custom rims.
-New Clutch, pressure plate and bearing at about 144K.
-Has new carpet and custom front seat covers (see pictures).
-Body is almost perfect (see pictures).
- New catalytic converter and muffler.
-5 speed manual transmission.
-Air conditioning (will need charging).
CONS:
- Will start, but not run (see above)
-Will have to be towed, as it does not run and is non-op.
-Needs to be repainted (See pictures, however the last picture shows what it did look like a few years ago).
Do not hesitate to ask questions prior to bidding. Car is sold as is and buyer understands/accepts the condition/status of the car. Buyer must pickup and haul the car from Adelanto, California.
