Car description |
---|
From 1948-50 Canadian market Ford F series trucks were badged based on gross vehicle weight hence an F3 being badged as an F68 to designate the 6,800 lb gross vehicle weight.
This truck has a good solid cab, it is mostly rust free with no repairs or bondo. The only rust to the cab appears to be above the rear window. The floorboards and cab corners are in very nice usable condition. The fenders have some of the usual corrosion that 48-52 Ford trucks suffer from but far less than most original examples. The bedsides have the typical rust that these trucks suffer from but it is flat steel so easily repaired. And the running boards also have rust as many 48-52 Ford trucks do but replacements are readily available should you choose to fully restore this truck. All of the paint is original, this truck has had zero bodywork done to it. The wooden bed floor is mostly rotted away as is often the case with 69 year old wood. All emblems are present and in nice condition. There are very few dents for an un-restored farm truck of this age, it is remarkably straight. The original tailgate is missing but these are easily sourced. This is often the case with prairie farmtrucks of this era unfortunately. We can help source the correct tailgate for the buyer if required. Overall this is a very good all original example of a highly sought after 1950 Ford pickup truck. The original paint and very solid cab gives it an aesthetically pleasing look and makes it an ideal candidate for either a full restoration or resto mod.
The interior is complete and ingood condition for its age. The seat will need re-upholstering as is always the case with un-restored trucks of this vintage.
This truck rolls and steers freely for ease of loading onto a trailer or moving into a shop. All tires hold air. The original flathead V8 turns freely and we've had it running briefly from a gas can.
This will make a great project being that it is a rare and highly desirable first generation F Series truck and has minimal rust to contend with compared to most examples. It deserves bringing back to life. Selling withNo Reserveto the highest bidder.

We are two brothers who seek out original trucks and cars from all across Canada, specializing in vehicles from the 40s, 50s and 60s.
Most American barn finds have long since been found and tampered with by multiple owners; North of the border there still seems to be an abundance of good, solid, original vehicles, waiting to be brought back to life.
We make thesevehicles available to the US market by taking care of importation and providing all paperwork required to obtain a ClearUS Title, in your name and home State.
We are passionate about finding the best there is and understand that our customers wantto see automobiles that have not been tampered with; The more original, the better.
Our inventory is regularly updated, as new finds are unearthed. If there is something specific that you are looking for, then let us know and we'd be happy to see if we can help.
The business we conduct is straightforward and honest. Whether you're looking for something that'sall original, a starting point for a restoration project or the bones for a custom build, Bison Brothers are here to help.
