Car description |
---|
I have owned this car since 1993. It has been stored inside EVERY DAY since I purchased it and has not seen any weather in that time.
Originally a 302 V8 car, the original motor was not in it when I bought it, but it had a 351 Cleveland instead. There is NO MOTOR in the car and it does not come with a motor. Set up for a V8.
It was an automatic transmission, but there is NO TRANSMISSION in the car and it does not come with one.
Original 8" rear still installed. Front steering and suspension still intact. The vehicle rolls and can be loaded onto a trailer or rollback, or can be pulled with a dolly.
This is an original "04 code" 1970 Mustang Grande. The Grande is a hardtop (coupe) that received special trim, a vinyl top, deluxe interior, extra sound-proofing, special wheel covers, and a softer ride. Obviously, none of those items are included with this rolling chassis, but the "04" in the VIN number identifies this car as a Grande.
In August 1994, I had the following work performed by a local, reputable Mustang restoration shop:
New Left and Right front Fender Aprons installed - Right from battery tray rust, left from minor accident damage
Both shock towers repaired from where someone cut to access grease fittings
Right Rocker Panel - Small dent repaired
Radiator Support straightened (minor accident damage)
Left and Right Quarter Panels and Wheel Housings repaired (minor rust and or dents)
New Left Trunk Drop-off panel
New Taillight panel installed
Trunk Floor repaired (minor rust patches)
Right Front Frame Rail patched
Toe Kick in LF floor repaired
Windshield and rear window channels sand blasted and filled to remove any pin holes
The car started off as 90% rust free and that work brought it to 99% rust free. I did not address the roof (it was a vinyl top car), figuring it would need less work to be prepped for vinyl than for paint. The roof has one very small hole along the left edge, shown in the photos. There may be a small spot here or there on the car, but if so, it will be very minor. This car is about as rust free as you will ever find.
There are no doors, hood, fenders, interior, trim, trunk lid, glass, etc. If you do not see it - IT IS NOT THERE. The quarter window glass is included, as is a used rear bumper and a few pieces of miscellaneous trim. Most of the wiring appears to still be there, although optional and accessory wiring may not be.
You are purchasing a rolling chassis (ONLY), with clear title. There are 24 pictures - please scroll through and check them out carefully. The other cars will be listed soon.
Forget about restoring your rust-bucket 1969-1970 Mustang. Start with this body and add your body parts, interior, drivetrain, glass, etc. It will be a lot easier and less expensive than trying to restore a 50 year old rustang.
Located in Pylesville, Harford County Maryland. I can deliver it for $2.00 a loaded mile, prepaid.
I will make sure the tires have air in them when the car leaves the shop.
Come look at it, ask questions, whatever - BEFORE bidding.
A $250 deposit paid through Paypal is due within 48 hours, and the remaining balance is due in 7 days. Car must be picked up within 7 days. Delivery arrangements MUST be made in advance (before you buy) if you want me to deliver it.
