NEW MEXICO BARN FIND 1959 Ford F100 Short Wide Bed, Original six cylinder 223 workhorse engine, upgraded to 4-speed T18 transmission (with PTO mounting plate and granny gear — a very desirable and reliable transmission). Currently has a clean Texas title and registration.
Originally a blue truck, it was painted brown years ago and has a very nice patina color at this point. Paint is by no means perfect, but the vehicle has very little rust. This vehicle came from Alamogordo, NM where it worked at White Sands missile base until being parked in 2002.
I have made the following repairs / upgrades:Fuel and Ignition Systems: New fuel tank, fuel sender, fuel lines and fuel pump. Rebuilt carburetor, New choke cable and knob, new coil and ignition resistorBrakes: New master cylinder, drums and shoes, new flexible brake lines at each wheel, new brake pressure switchClutch: New clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearingSuspension: New shock absorbers all aroundElectrical: New washer pump, replacement wiper motor, new ignition switchAlso new sun visors.
I haveleft it to the buyer to determine whether to maintain the patina, have the truck repainted as-is or do a resto-mod.It's a great looking truck and runs well. Hope it finds a nice home.
Please look at all the pictures and ask all questionsbefore buying or making offer, you are welcome to come and inspect the truck or have it inspected before buying or making offer. The vehicle is sold as is with no warranties.. Buyer is to pay all shipping/transport cost.
Buyer will make a $500 = refundable deposit within 24 hours of sale and the balance is due in full within 7 days of sale - cash, wire transfer or certified funds.
