Car description

For sale is a 1967 Mustang with the original 289/3-speed manual. It's a gentle restomod that only needs a little extra push to make it a great cruiser or a show stopper--I've been going for like a 60s/70's vintage look with the tie dye and stickers, but it would be very easy to go a different route with it.

ALL RESTOMOD ITEMS ARE REMOVABLE.

Too many mods or new items to list so I'll only hit the highlights below. It's a 50 year old driver that has a few dings but wears all the original exterior sheet metal and is a decent 20 footer ready for the weekend.

Clean and clear title. Vin 7T01C267667

Located in Parkersburg WV, 26101. State inspection just ran out two weeks ago so that tells you how up to date it is.

Selling because my priorities have changed, putting money into my house instead of the car, blah blah you know how it goes. Buy It Now is definitely lower than you could build this for (I've got $14k+ into it) but I'm selling for a very good price to make sure it sells. I'm so sick of all the tire kickers and lowballers and no-showers when it comes to selling on CL or FB. Message to make arrangement to see the car in person.

I'm on a lot of Mustang sites and FB forums so if you know your Mustangs, let me give you the low down on the typical rust:

*Cowl vents were shaved by prior owner so no worry on leaking there, but cowl underneath was not replaced.

*Windshield leaks a little but it's due to the seal--it's the original and needs replaced, but I've got a new one for it.

*All new metal in front of the firewall, firewall/torque boxes were patched when it was apart.

*Front floor pans were patched by prior owner when he painted it. They're solid and fine for a driver/cruiser.
*Typical underside otherwise--plenty of pics for proof. Worst spots are where the parking brake cable goes through, where the front frame rails end (after connecting to the new shock towers) and where the seat bolt holes are--they were cut open for access by prior owner. All together a solid car.

Technically it's a period correct engine since Ford didn't stamp VINs until 1968, but the block was cast, the engine assembled, and the car sold all within 2 weeks. Also, it's a late year 67 so it has a 302 Cleveland block from the factory even though the 302 wasn't actually available until 68. Just a neat piece of trivia.

PARTS/CONDITION:

NEW:

*mild engine upgrades including a 268H Comp Cam, Edelbrock 4bbl intake/carb

*Hedman headers/Thrush glasspacks/side exit exhaust

*starter/alt/battery/distributor/Pertronix ignition & coil

*digital gauges from Intellitronix

*aluminum radiator

*timing chain/gears/water pump

*black HID projector headlights

*all shock towers/radiator support/core support--all the framework in front of the firewall

*basically a new suspension except for leaf springs

*lowered 1.25 inches in front, 1 inch in rear, plus the shelby drop

*newer Mustang GT rims

*full wiring is done right with an upgraded AAW kit so if you want to add options such as power windows or AC all you have to do is plug them in, no running extra wires

*Pioneer speakers--two 6.5s up front and two 6x9s in the rear

*all brake lines/pads/equipment new with drums redone

*gas tank/lines/fuel pump/carb

*EPAS conversion to give electric power steering. sooooo much better than the 19:1 manual that came on it. plus added a collapsible steering shaft so you can get into/out of the car or in case of a wreck.

*some interior parts such as steering wheel, carpet, kick panels, package tray etc

*I installed a bench seat in the front because that's the look I was going for, but have the stock buckets as well. you get your choice with the car--original buckets or bench from a 66.

STOCK:

*stock drivetrain with 8" rear, 5 lug, and 28 spline axle, 2.79 ratio

*part of the interior is factory but in ok driver condition, such as the headliner (dyed black)

*all original glass with FoMoCo stamps

*4 wheel drum brakes but completely rebuilt

TO DO LIST:

*stereo and new speakers in car but aren't hooked up yet

*have an electric fan from a Lincoln to replace the belt driven one, haven't installed yet

*paint is a "new" 12 year old job that's got a handful of spots. its a 20 footer as you can see in the pics and video. worst areas are the chips on the passenger front fender and driver rear quarter, and the small dent on the driver front fender.

*speedo needs adjusted to read (just installed gauges a month ago)

*has a handful of misc. new parts not installed yet such as lifters or rear shackles, and also comes with plenty of stock parts so you can put it back that way if you want

*all it really needs, aside from a paint job, is for someone to put a little time in to fine tune what's already there and add some touches to make it their own.
