Description
Painters special here guys. I had a fire and just don't have the time to deal with this one. This fastback is a REAL GT. I had a gentleman from England want to buy this car when he was in town for last years Barrett Jackson. While I was pondering whether I wanted to sell it he had it inspected and verified. I decided not to sell, but the offer was a good one. This car was a creampuff. Although the restoration was done in the late 80's it sat in a Ford dealership owners collection and on his showroom until I bought it about 16 yrs ago. I drove it sparingly and probably put less than 3000 miles on it. I have receipts for the full restoration. It is a 4 speed with factory air(THAT WORKS) and a rally pack. This car was tighter than my new Lexus. In reality it is still close to that. The fire was 10 feet in front of the car, but I have 16 feet ceilings and windows up top so the fire crawled up and over and bubbled the top. I haven't cleaned it off yet because they are still investigating the structure, but it does not appear to have warped anything. If there is warpage it would likely to be to the hood, but all the gaps are good. The door gaps are good and the doors close like new. The fender gaps are also good. The one area that looks a little tight is the bottom corner of the l/s trunk (see pic). There is no damage to the interior although the front windshield is cracked. I haven't opened the engine bay yet (I can't touch anything until the inspection process is complete) but am confident that will be fine and this car will fire right up and drive perfect. Most of the debris in the top is from the light fixtures and shop windows. This is a car that you will want to inspect in person. If you're interested you need to book a flight. I will pick you up at the airport and take you back. Good Luck.
