This combination is mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. The pairing of the 289 with the 4-speed manual is highly desirable and makes for a wonderful driving experience. The 65 Mustang offered here presents itself amazingly well with its cream-colored coat of paint over a red leather interior. The quality of... the paint can be felt simply by running a hand along the car. Fortunately, the interior is just as nice as the exterior. All leather is free of any major signs of wear. Red even extends up to the dashboard, though it is nicely contrasted by metal trim throughout the center console. Aftermarket gauges have been installed and create a nice interior appearance. The car comes with an owner's manual and full-service manual. The Ford Mustang 1st generation does not get the credit it deserves.
