Car description

This 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback GT350 is a tribute car done right. Accurate looks, four-on-the-floor, and proper K-code V8 power make this the kind of coupe that true enthusiasts will really appreciate. This is a true Wimbledon White fastback, so this is exactly where you want to start for a proper fastback tribute. This was a long-term project, and there are only about 550 miles on the build since it was completed. So the white is crisp... with a nice clearcoat shine, and full blue striping package was painted on top to give it the look of a true icon. Plus, the hood scoop, hood pins, clean grille, and larger side air ducts are performance detail icons from the years Shelby was building these out of his Los Angeles factory. And those competition-style torque thrust wheels with the tailpipe peeking out from the side give this one the kind of look like it's ready to hit the track. The full black interior has the clean look that reminds you of the low mileage restoration. Plus, you have nice details like the fold-down rear seat and premium "Pony" package on the front bucket seats. Even the AM radio is still cranking-out tunes. But the parts you'll enjoy the most are the vintage performance-oriented details like the wood-rimmed Cobra steering wheel, racing-style seat belts, and GT-style round gauge package. Under the hood is a V8 you're going to love. It is believed this is the exact kind of Hi-Po 289 cubic-inch V8 that Shelby used in the original GT350s. There is the understanding this has the correct heads, stamped 20/19, deep well Cobra oil pan, and proper Cobra valve covers. There's a tidy look that comes from the right investments, including installing hydraulic lifters. Headers add power while contributing to the rumble of the dual exhaust. You have complete control of the power and growling soundtrack thanks to the toploader four-speed manual transmission. Plus, with a new Ford 9-inch rear end, Scott Drake shocks, and front disc brakes, the whole package gives you confident performance. There is an absolutely awesome story that goes with the car that has a direct link to Carroll Shelby. We wish there was full proof of it, but it still adds to the mystique of an exceptional K-code Shelby tribute. So for all the details on this very cool link, you need to call today!
