1924 Model T Ford 3 Door Touring Car. Condition is Used. Local pickup only.
This car is located in SE Nebraska... As I understand, it was restored in 1959 by the owners son in a high school shop class and was stored inside ever since. The son inherited it years later and eventually sold it on an auction in 2006. It was bought for a parade car and was used for several years, but has sat in a barn unused for 2-3 years. I acquired the car a couple months ago with intentions of getting it running and selling it.
The car runs and drives very well. It has an electric starter or you can hand crank it. It will also start by advancing the timing when there is fuel present in the cylinder and the engine is warm. Forward (hi/low), reverse, and engine brake work as they should.
I have drove it quite a bit the last couple of days(90 degrees+) and it does great.
The front door closes hard and needs to be slammed. The back doors work great. There is not a generator on the car... I was told an alternator was put on just to plug the hole. If you drive the car regularly, you will have to charge the battery or put a generator on it. The magneto works well so the battery is needed only for starting.
The hood is missing in the photos...It is in the same shape as the car, I just need to find it! I will update photos when i do.
Things I have done to it:
Head gasketAdjusted buzz coilsRebuilt ignition/light switchNew front tiresKevlar band linersPassenger E-brake rodNew batterySoldiered radiator leaksOil line from mag cover to front of engine
Things the previous owner did to it (2006-present):
Rear tiresKing pin bushingsWheel bearingsRear (wood spokes) wheels rebuiltReplaced buzz coils
If you would like any other photos or information please contact me.
Upon purchase a $500(paypal) deposit will be due immediately and the remainder will be due in cash or wire transfer.
I reserve the right to end this listing at any time, as I have it for sale in several venues.
There will be no negotiations after purchase. Please inspect before bidding!
